This is such a clean meshing of two very different aesthetics, it's actually incredible. Also, big fan of that Jack sprite!

This would make such a badass cover for Undertale's Steam grid or one of the physical editions. It feels so true to the game's style while also enhancing the details. Also love how it calls back to that one Kickstarter image with the silhouettes of all the monsters.

I absolutely adore your style. Everything feels so chunky in a way that draws your attention, but it's also not overwhelming. Also, I love the square shoes.

I really adore what you did with my character (the guy in the hat on the bottom left). I mean, I love what you did with everyone here, but I just especially love how Sergio was rendered. His hat is fantastic, and his Joy Mutant form is really something else.

Also, Jingles 2 is so Jingles.

You made the poses so dynamic, and you gave the Toppins so much depth. I can practically hear them scampering to catch up with Peppino!

I've always been a big fan of women!

This is such an intriguing concept for a monster. Something lurking in the deep with a body part it extends to the surface to find its prey. Like a handpuppet... er, tonguepuppet?

Thank you so much!! I can't remember if I had any particular inspirations with this piece -- I have all of my sketches, info, and creative process for this piece over here: https://beethovenus.myportfolio.com/burlesque-of-neptune

You really did a good job capturing the style and method of character design in the actual series! I notice that most if not all characters will typically be built off of the same base, and then have a handful of distinguishing features given to reflect their personality- this is clearly what you did here!

The hair, bag, glasses and name tag(?) create visual interest, but the detail that really centers the viewer's attention is the missing jaw, as its blood-red and pearly-white color scheme contrasts nicely with the greys of the rest of the design! Even with the bandana in the bottom right, you still have a bit of visible blood spatter, and the design on the front of it has pure white fangs.

All in all, IMO, this is a really cool design that fits really well within the world of Madness Combat!

Beethovenus responds:

Thank you!! This was my first ever time doing Madness Combat art, and it was meant moreso as just shitty doodles than anything else. I think I did the style pretty well, and I'd be interested to see what higher-effort piece I could make.

AUGH, LOHBABA

Love the bouncy animation- reminds me a lot of old-school computer games. This specifically feels like part of a title sequence of some kind, where when the moon splatters onto the screen the title would be mixed in with the stain.

Lovely colors, as well! You did a great job capturing that specific shade of color that trees have on a moonlit night! :D

I make funny little pictures and post them on the Interwebs. :)
